It would be alright to get part of his protein from it will keep them from sorting it too much, but you’re going to want stuff ground pretty fine. You will only want to use it for part of the protein if you try to balance the ration with it as the “only” protein source you will have enough sulfur in the ration that it could impact your calves health.
