I'm not 100% sure but I think the 8550 was made from 1997 or 8 to 2000 and the 8550S was made from 2001 to 2003. The 8550S has about 10 more hp but is still a 5,9 Cummins. Basically the same machine. I'll send you an email since agtalk is so slow.
