Callao, Missouri | I cut wheat through Alva and Sitka in 2001. Just a few years ago I delivered a load of donated wildfire hay by pure chance to a rancher about 2 or 3 miles from the elevator where I got the biggest undeserved butt chewing of my life for bringing in a load of wet wheat (I was just the trucker, didn’t have a clue it was wet). It was kind of neat to end up back down there unplanned after all those years. Great folks down there, and great memories of harvest.
