| You should get 4-5 cuttings a year. Dryland is going to vary by rain but I’d say your looking at something like .5 ton per inch of rainfall during the cutting period. You should get a big first and 4th cutting, weak 5th, average 2 and 3. Don’t let it bloom out bad even if it’s short. Cut it basically on a 28 day schedule.
Keep the fertility perfect so when you get a good period of rain you can really capitalize on it. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could sneak 6 tons a year on a good year. | |
