Normally I can buy canning lids locally - Walmart, TSC, etc.  However, when they are sold out, they are sold out for the year. I expect that is what you are seeing.

I did not have enough. So, in early September, I bought 2 boxes of regular lids from Amazon.  I paid $11.75 for 2 boxes lids - this does not include rings - it was just lids. I thought it was expensive.  I watched the tracking. I think they actually came from China. It took me a couple of weeks to get them.  So, if you are needing canning lids, don't expect to get them in a couple of days.   One other thing.... the lids that I got did not seem to be the same as the lids that I generally buy.   I did have one jar that did not seal. Out of two dozen, I guess that wasn't horribly bad.
