Northeast WI | I started using some Norwegian Red semen on some dairy cows last fall. First calves were born in June and literally hit the ground running. So much nicer feeding new calves because they always drink great compared to a Holstein. Also nice is half of them are polled. I’ve had a few red and white Holsteins polled but never any black and white ones. I’m planning on keeping them a 2 way cross. I think I’ll continue this experiment and see how things pan out.
