Have a 80 with no water on it. There is a spring on one end of it across the state highway . I can pipe it thru a culvert but just to 1 end of the field . Do I just drill a well so I can pipe it across the field ? Its 1/4 wide 1/2 long . I know that I will need a large tank for reserve if I use spring . Only going to run 20 -25 cows on it
Suggest you measure the water pressure at the spring.
Every (1) psi will give you 2.31' of head.
So 5 psi - - - not that much - - - would push the water up over 11'.
11' of rise is quite a bit.
So time for some testing and then you will know how high you can push the water.
Hopefully you have enough pressure to push the water to the center of the strip - - - - that would be ideal! |
