Southern Oregon
62 cents per pound of gain sounds good to me. Not sure what it's going to be this year as our lots aren't closed out yet. I think when we went to Kansas it was in the low 70s. It's going to be higher in eastern Oregon, but we don't have as big of a freight bill getting there.
Fresh bedding every three weeks doesn't sound bad either. They were bedded twice by the end of February this year.
As far as the yield, it's however the feedlot figures it out and they have it on the kill sheet. I'll look at the sheets and post more this evening. Our cattle have always yielded 65 or better both here and Kansas. The areas where our cattle excel at in the feedlot is the yield, yield grade 1 and 2s, feed conversion, and staying healthy (except this year).
