We had no testing capacity here until maybe July.
I think it was here much earlier and we just weren’t aware of it. I think we have much more than 5 or 6% infected locally. And I think higher population areas are MUCH MUCH higher than 6% because they have more deaths per capita than we do.
You say it’s easier to keep out than it is to get rid of. I don’t think it has ever been out. Maybe it’s possible to keep New Zealand basically free of it because every person comes in on a boat or plane and quarantines before going into society but that’s not practical in the USA. | |
