SW Wisconsin | My brother is working for the local hardware store/ lumber yard. He said they're selling 2x4x8s for $7.49, their cost is $7.41 if they can get them. Hardwood is the same price it was before, just softwood is up. When the vet was out yesterday he was talking about walking some woods with his dad recently, they had a forester out to see if there was anything worth logging before they put in a fence. The forester walked past a bunch of big straight oaks and maples to a smaller walnut and said "this is the only tree that's worth anything here." In the field walnut is high, on the shelf pine is high. | |
