Unless your liming or have a history of old age manure "applications " zoning would be my suggestion. Why apply more or less than you need ever?

Which methodology/system do you like for identifying management zones?

I have subscribed to good imagery and yield predominantly, but also lidar topography and a few other layers. Now many can make similar claim chatter, but there are huge differences in which images you use and how you adjust them before you use them. Thats night and day differences of the final "product". Then software capable of interpolation, instead of a handful of hard breaks, like GK can do. The more detail the better. A few pics of what I mean. 1st pic is zones based on ssurgo. 2nd pic is how I view my zones to sample from. 3rd pic is interpolated like how my map drives a controller. 100s of rates, 1000s of polygons.
