Subject: RE: 1093 Pioneer

East central iowa
We had it, high test weight but that was about all it had going for it. First year planting it, stood really well but the yield was so so. About middle of pack for this area. This was 1093Q. COC which sucked everywhere this year. Next to 1197, which got hit by derecho so we know how that ended with that number. One number to look at next year is 1185. I have personally planted 20 acres of that number as a trial and was blown away. 240 bushel in a derecho ravaged field where everything else was 175. Had 5 numbers in one field, 3 different companies. Short corn, huge ears and stood like a tree. I personally think this was be a big hit for pioneer, pretty amazed with that corn. Stood when everything else went flat. Dekalb, agrigold was next to pioneer 1185 in same field. I encourage anyone to try that number.
