His wife could spend a lot of income though but she wouldn't have any claim against the asset in the event of a divorce. That is the problem, he could sell half and she could spend it. If i thought that could happen to my son, he wouldn't not get the land his kids would and it would be tied up as long as the law would allow me to do. I am with your dad on this one,
