A farmer has two risks...board price and basis...if you take one away you have less risk.... you can reown at the same price to july....taking out interest and storage cost plus making your money work for you in other investments by selling cash.. All these things add up to put towards re ownership..is there risk...ya...but its reducing it.

The board saying it wants your grain now...your risk is..it may not want it later = wider basis and lower futures.

edit to add...if you are afraid of margin calls you better not be in the biz.
