East Central South Dakota | I thought that might be another reason. Even here there was a little more PP than initially thought. AGP has been a big disappointment for pushing price for us. Their bid premium usually just covers freight and leaves very little to justify longer haul. This fall Agtegra hauled beans that were dumped in Willow Lake and Yale to Wolsey to put in bunkers to be handled again to be hauled to AGP. I hear for 2020 they had local earnings of around 1 million on probably 1.5 billion in sales ( 2020 financials still not released) Maybe if they didn’t re-handle grain continuously to feed AGP they could make some money. Lots of rumors in the industry that Agtegra will regionalize with CHS. Really hope this doesn’t happen as I think Agtegra is a better company especially in Agronomy. |
