Subject: RE: 900MHz Base Station Covering Multiple Fields

Central Iowa
So I would put the base station on top of the silo and plug it into a larger antenna that is mounted up there? Maybe I misunderstood.

I've thought about running an antenna up the silo and leaving the base on the ground, but it would be probably 300 ft of cable by the time I get down and away from the silo far enough. Seems like I'd lose some signal strength in the cable alone.

If possible I'd like to avoid climbing the silo to put up my base station, but it's not out of the question.
