Subject: RE: Difficult question to ask— blood cancer

Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS

My mother-in-law had Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She thought she had a bad cold or maybe the flu. She got up really early one morning to get a drink of water. When she turned to go back to bed she lost her balance and fell, hitting her head on the edge of the table. She didn't even realize what she had done. Her daughter came over later and saw her bloody head and rushed her to the ER. Her blood count, I don't remember which one (white or red) was off the charts. That was about 9:00 a.m. By 5:00 that evening she was admitted to Roswell Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY (she lived in Dunkirk, NY at the time). Unfortunately, she was already in a very advanced stage of the illness. If you have any doubts at all PLEASE seek treatment as early as possible.
