Here is a pic under throat. The latching handles are going to hit mounting bar. I will probably have to use a wrench to loosen latch enough to get lock disconnected. Mine being a 6 row will only come off at end of season..
On a newer combine this probably won't be an issue because of different latching system.
Stompers are easily rotated or can be removed by pulling pin.
If you are doing point rows , the stompers that are running between row stubble will push piles of stalks. Have never had one push piles while combining normal rows. But I haven't done any flat or down corn yet either.
Every brand seems to have issues of some sort.....
