Idaho | Weld a 5' mol piece of halter chain on the door closing wrench handle end. Weld a hook that will accept a halter chain link easily on the wrench wrench handle end oriented so the closed end of the hook is on the top when the door is rotated up and closed. Close the door. throw the the chain up over the shaft just above it . Pull down and tight on the chain and engage the chain in the hook. Door stays up and closed while the latch is engaged. Beat chest with both fists for how strong you are. Remove BOTH wrenches. Can't remember why I mention that.
Secure the appropriate length bungee in the step where the wrench is stored. Drill a large hole in the step to drop the chain through and secure chain end with bungee. Cost? Not much. Time? Not much. No political paid consultants or imported PAID demonstrators needed. | |
