north central Ohio
We have it and does work and nice some evening when beans are tough and want to drag you can lighten head up some and keep going. We run a lot of no till beans so lots of trash to cut through. Our biggest problem with the head is at about 2500 acres it cracked in one of the removable plates where you reach in to work on the retractable fingers. We welded in season but it wasn’t strait and had to go to schmidt machine for new center and get put back together straight. Then agian two nights ago with about 6000 acres it darn near broke in two again in a completely different section. Took home welded and patched but as hard as we tried it is not as straight as it needs to be for long term use. If we get it straightened again going to have them fix whole head like first time where they weld a reenforcing plate in on the inside of the holes on all the holes so they can’t start cracking. Just something for you to be aware of. Otherwise it cuts well and seems like a very good auger head.
