It's funny you mention that. I also had a 10" Westfield 60ish feet long that the derecho turned into junk in a few minutes. I then proceeded to replace it, it is still pretty much the same system, single acting too. Maybe bigger and longer models have gone to double acting hydraulics. I think that would be a plus.
