You will not charge enough to cover harvesting cost and loss of fertility from your soil bank reserve. If it’s needed to save a cow herd in a drought situation different but for a cash crop no way. Forgot to mention the massive compaction to the ground. Just running over the ground getting the bales off is crazy compaction.
Glad you mentioned the compaction aspect. I’m the one always bitching about keeping trucks off the fields and staying off wet ground. Was trying to calculate the fertilizer cost verse income to figure that out. Thank you. J |
