A buddy of mine has went to a plan where he and the two kids our on a short term plan and his wife is on a regular ACA plan. Short term plans do not cover pregnancy is the reason for this.
Just remember, when the baby is born you can switch plans. Prenatal costs are billed out as part of the pregnancy on the DOB. Switching to an ACA plan when the baby is born will cover all the prenatal costs.
