I wish it was that easy! Perhaps I just have a LOT IN the seed bank. It's not as high in the seed bank as velvet leaf on my farm, but it is definitely there in significant amount in several fields. Hay/pasture without new seed production for a decade still leaves plenty of seed.

I'm wondering if you perhaps altered the soil biology making conditions less favorable for it to grow in addition to reducing the raw numbers.


I think you have the right idea with altering soil biology. Same with velvet leaf, Has always shown up after hog manure is spread.
I wonder if mixing more soil with deeper tillage would help. Try it and let me know. I don’t want to bring more rocks to the surface until I know I have a good reason.
