It isn’t my combine, but I do know that when the operator first switched from wheat to soybeans the yield monitor said it had only harvested 80 lbs over a 400 foot stretch. I think something had been jammed behind the pressure plate or something like that.

Most yield monitoring systems cannot accurately handle changing corn densities very well. Last year the yield monitors were especially unreliable because we had lots of low density corn and it would often be frozen in the morning when we started harvest, but it thawed as the day went on which is another variable that can throw off the yield monitoring system.
