NW Washington | Violating the Canadian rules can get expensive for US citizens. They will let you drive from the lower 48 to Alaska, but you have to careful about how you do it and no side trips.

Tonight (10/1) local paper has a story about a US man who took his boat up the sound to Canada to visit his girlfriend. The date cost him $1000 Cn and immediate expulsion and he got is boat back. The girlfriend is now in quarantine.
