Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | My neighbor has a small vineyard. Their grapes came out of dormancy too early this Spring and got hurt with a later frost. It was their worst crop ever. Now that Minnesota no longer requires 51% Minnesota grapes in order to call it Minnesota Wine, I see the local vineyards disappearing since they won't be able to compete with other cheaper sources.
I have been hearing and seeing some very nice soybean yields if we could keep the rain showers away. I've been close to finishing a field each of the last two harvest days only to get chased out due to a small shower.
