NC KS | Since it borders you, I would rent it again unless you were having problems making money year in and year out. Might be time to sit down and figure out a new rental rate.
You do need to put yourself in your landlord's shoes for a minute. They don't know you or anyone from the area very good. Probably don't know the land very well either. Don't know the landlord business very well either. Someone that can tell a lie without blinking calls them up and has a friendly chitchat. Naturally, the conversation makes him out to be a great guy with deep pockets. They fall for it thinking you are cheating them. They don't discuss with you first because a cheater won't fess up. I would give them this one. I think and hope that they learned a valuable lesson. | |
