Yeah, rent it or don't, only you know how bad you need to work this piece of ground. Know this though, you mean nothing to those landlords, so don't kid yourself into thinking otherwise.
Personally, I'd make a new offer they could either take or drop dead. My life's too short to put up with that crap.
