Because every contract I have seen is just an option to lease. The $1200/A is just the bait for the option. I had 200 A that is decent land that could have been used but every one was just a option. I finally had enough of the BS and told them not to contact me. I really did not want solar anyway. Solar and wind is pretty much a tax scam IMO.
