Was watching a couple younger guys working on a combine tire.. Tire had a tube in it and was ripped, They broke the beads and took out the tube. Installed a tubeless tire stem.. The regular type that goes in cars and truck wheels.. Valve core was removed. Couldn't get it to air up of course ,so they gave it a shot of ether. First time it just flamed out,so they tried it again with a bigger shot.. Well it seated alright. but the force of it seating blew the guts out of the stem.. The rubber part stayed in rim.. Somewhere there was a lot of heat that either ,melted the rubber or enough pressure was generated to do this.. I don't know which but after watching the video's of what goes on in a tire with heat it made me wonder | |
