Thanks for the comments. Just follow up to some of the ideas mentioned. Checked all the fluids and wasn't anything we could find like low oil. We typically have run it full throttle when harvesting or running stick rake. Wife and son like it for spraying small trees since it can creep along the row and they probably weren't running it full throttle. The summer time jobs we have for it are really 20-30 minute jobs and not half day like raking or harvest. Probably just have to park it for those small jobs it was handy for and use the old 165 unless we are going to run it hard.

Can't justify a smaller tractor or UTV economics right now. Heck couldn't justify this one but FIL bought it new and his health limited how much he used it. He insisted it come here so wife agreed and we put it to work.

1734E Massey has been fairly trouble free for us, but we have had a few emission issues over the past few years. First, there are 2 fuel filters, one main one that everyone can see, and one small one that is in the fuel line going to the DPF fuel injector , if that filter plugs up, it will run until the DPF plugs and then throw a light, very soon after, will shut down. Repair that, and do a DPF Regeneration, and it should be fine.

If your dealer doesn't have the software to hook to the tractor, it will be fun to diagnose without it, but it is possible. If you can't get an answer soon, ask them to be honest and explain if they have any experience on the emissions. If you can be understanding with them, most people would just as rather admit they are struggling through it, or having to wait for Technical Service to help them, as lie about it. Maybe that's just me.

It's a very simple system, but experience is key on them. If you haven't seen issues, you just don't get very good at diagnosing problems, and diagnosing them the old fashioned way takes extra time.

Email me if I can be of any help
Chris
