New diesels run much cleaner (except all these EGR ones). Tighter tolerances than your old Cummins motors and cleaner burning injection cycles.
OEMs wouldn’t put it in the book if they didn’t trust it. All the mfgs use regular oil lab tests in their test machines to build up the trust for their protocols published in the manual.
