My daughter has a friend who became an ag teacher. The only ag experience she had before becoming an ag teacher was FFA, and working for a season at the local canning factory. She didn't even hang around our farm when they were in high school. You could say she showed zero interest in production ag growing up. She was a born and raised "town kid"...I think she had a cat growing up.
I honestly had a hard time believing that she became an ag teacher, much less managed to find a job in a MN school district that I would describe as much more "rural" and ag dependent than our school district.
