McCanna, ND | Built our current shop in 2012 after the old one was lost in a fire several years before that. We came to the conclusion 60x96x21 was what would fit best. Wide enough for 40’ equipment to unfold and walk around, long enough for a semi, and tall enough if we ever had to pull a engine.
Fast forward ~ 8 years and my 9120 lost 1.5 gallons of engine oil in a day. Have been religious about changing the crankcase filter but the rear main seal still went out. Pulling the engine was only 6 hours, building the A frame hoist was only 4 days. Wanted a A frame hoist ever since the shop was built but didn’t have a reason to build one until now. It’s 17’6” inside the beams and telescoping poles, goes from 12’8” to 20’8” it’s currently set at 19’8”.
