E.Central MN
We bought a NI 6A picker and used it one season. On the way home from the auction the hitch pin fell out and it headed into the ditch towards a telephone pole. Luckily the hitch dug in and stopped it. Hindsight, we should have left it there. I think my brother spent more time welding on it than we spent picking corn with it. That winter we went to a consignment auction when it was windy and 20 below, the majority of the tractors wouldn't start. They just towed them thru the ring, including a Farmall 400 w/NI 319 mtd picker that we bought. It was easier to grease than the old ones. They put the grease zerks out where you could get at them and had grease lines going to the bearing housings.
