Subject: RE: Who’s greased an ear corn picker

Dad had a NI mounted picker, first on an H, then on a 300 farmall. I greased it some but was mostly ahead of my time. The wheels on the H had to be slid off the axle slightly to get them wide enough to clear. The 300 had longer axles, but I remember breaking the axle off on it one year. He used to carry a cane on the tractor to keep the fodder knocked down around the engine.
