Subject: RE: Hopper Bin Cost

Just north of I-90 in SW MN
I'm gonna say this about a hopper bin. One must be able to use it year round. We have 2 hopper bins that feed the dryer. They are above the driveway where we dump grain in the fall. When in soybean and the elevator or crush plant closes, we put the beans up and in the morning we haul out so that we can keep going. Also if you choose to store your beans put the higher moisture ones in the hopper and when you get drier ones you can blend them back.

Second reason for the hopper bins is when you load grain out. I understand that you need a grain leg to do this, but being able to drive in and in under 8 minutes have a load of grain is nice. Both of our overhead tanks do not have air. Hope you find what you are looking for. CRH
