I had something very similar to this on my 04 9760 where it shut the machine down while harvesting. I only had a select few low power consumption things that worked properly. In my case it turned out to be the main battery cable, I believe the positive. The connection must have went bad internally on the crimp and although it metered fine with my tester it wouldn't pass enough current.
