Northern Ohio
Orthman probably heaviest/best built, 9xxx series.
Hiniker 6000 is probably second, both compact, parts available for both, more Hiniker out there. Hiniker 5000 (Steel wheels) is poor design in my opinion, pushes cutting coulter.
Kinze, similar design to Hiniker, built lighter, uses planter bushings, down pressure springs. Most parts no longer available. Most parts can be fabricated.
Sukup 9400 is well designed, well built, not as heavy as Hiniker, Orthman, but good. Not as many out there, still built by Remlinger so parts available, easiest to adjust, might be best for the price?
JD 885 is similar to older black Hiniker econo till. Stretched out, chisel plow shank. Makes it heavy to lift. More difficult to adjust.
All my opinion, others mileage may vary.
