Subject: Shocks on Semi

Central Nebraska
When I was servicing my truck (02’ Mack CH 613) I noticed that all the shocks on the rear had been leaking. The only ones that were available were a Road Choice brand which I had never heard of. Would be a week to get the OEM ones in so I grabbed a set and installed them. I could move them in and out rather easily and was wondering if I just purchase and installed substandard parts...

Surely these are better than the ones that were totally shot. How important is it to have good shocks on the drive axles? This is an air ride suspension. I have always thought this thing road like crap.

Another thing I found when I was underneath was the rod that controlled the air cab ride height was broke. So that might help also.
