First combine for small grains was a AC60 pulled by an M. It had a V 4 motor on combine that did not like getting hot. Started hard cold and even much harder hot. It had a rope or crank on it and loved to kick back on a backfire feeling like an arm breaker.

They could have put anything else on it with an electric starter, you could buy junk cars with running motors for $10-25 bucks all day. Flat head 6 out of a Mopar were every where.
