Faunsdale, AL | I bought a used AWS bar to put on my 930F. Not even sure whether it was the correct spacing for my reel, but I centered it up and bent a few pipes sideways to get them to clear. I noticed a few plastic fingers were “stroking” some pipes. Well I found out that’s a problem when I had some of the old style welded pipes crack.
I’ve replaced with the new style cast with the pipe held in by a setscrew and as expensive as they are, I’ve just removed any row of reel fingers that interferes with a pipe. I don’t allow any contact however minor. | |
