Subject: RE: Deere 8000 series

SE Georgia
We have 3 ‘10 model 8295r that have been good tractors.I think they are basically the same as a 30 series with a lot better cab.The little pipe Rs,as we call them, are preferred in my area to the next series of Rs with the big exhaust and all the emissions stuff. They have that stupid fan drive that gives trouble, but other than that they have been good tractors.2 of ours have 6000 hrs and one has 3000 and no trouble other than the fan drive. We also have a 8330 that would be like a 8270 that has 11000 hrs on it that hasn’t given much trouble other than the fan drive and the hood is junk.It does leak at the oil pan gasket some, but I think most of the 30 series I’ve seen above 9000 hrs seem to leak.
