West central Ohio | Probably catching on something. Check adjustment of cutoff on the discharge. I have seen cases where a piece of metal from the trunking rust jacks and bulges into the interior of trunking and catches on buckets at splice. See it on legs where seam between trunking and angle iron frame is only skip welded, even with sealant over joint. Might be worth trying the double angle iron splice. Ours have always been lap spliced. Replaced 50 year old belt in the one leg several years ago and mill wright used angle iron splice. Made a pretty good thump going over head and boot pulleys and gear reducer started burping out oil. I changed back to lap splice and runs smoothly with no reducer problem. | |
