Here,, everyone hates the rethrasher. They are at best a useless add on that is more trouble than it is worth and at worst will shut you down until until you replace the clutches in it or get better harvest conditions.

A lot of people here bought the 670 just so they don’t have to deal with the rethrasher. I am in rice country and rice is cut very green and dried down. In certain conditions, you just cannot cut rice with a 680. I have known a few people who just open there tailings gate and let it run in the ground in rice with a 680 just to be able to keep cutting.


The very first 680 that the local dealer here demonstrated to a bunch of guys did just that. Pulled the door open on the rethresher and cut with it open.
