I had a spreader just like that, and the chain was bad. A new chain was like $3-400, so I sold the spreader at the consignment sale. It was in great shape otherwise, but it sold good like $300. A few weeks later I was at farm sale and there was a new apron chain in it and it only brought $20. Bummer. I think I still have the book for the new idea spreader if you need it.
