He is ridiculously over cautious about dismounting the tires, but otherwise one of the very few that understand the difference between:
Split rim, come apart in the center like an Oreo cookie. Bad. You don’t see any ring on the edge, and there is that ridge in the center of the rim that Holds the spilt.
Split ring, where the removable ring on the edge is held down by the tire bead, and are good designs.
