Subject: RE: KX7 concave settings

First year out with my KX7 concaves. Running a 630 platform and an 8 row corn head on a 9770. Any suggestions on settings?

Can't remember how many years I have on mine now. But I am current;y running 21-24 on the concave which is completely variety dependent, and 330-360 on the rotor speed. This would be on a 9760 with a 893. Yields avg. around 160ish this year. I use a micrometer to measure the center of a cob, and as long as your concaves have been leveled and the sensor has been calibrated, setting it 1mm less than the cob is about perfect.

Previous years beans have been run pretty tight and pretty fast. Have not run any this year, but I usually start with the factory settings and move from there.
