Cooperator - 9/27/2020 18:31 Another reason is that there are very few P-39s still flying, at least they are too scattered to be flying in one group. These could be P-51 Mustangs.


Other than the USAF Heritage Flights flown with warbirds and the modern single-ship demo jets, I don't know of anybody who is currently flying Mustangs with as much a four airplanes in a formation.  But there are several in the T-6/SNJ types who do a lot of formation stuff.
